Memorial day

Memorial day is an American holiday that is on the last Monday of may, honors of men and women who died while serving in the u.s. Military .  Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, at least, it marks the beginning of summer.  a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May. You can go to your town's Memorial Day parade, send a heartfelt  letter of thanks, or volunteer your time in honor of those who’ve served. it was originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the civil war and became an official  federal holiday in 1971. What I'm going to do for memorial day is going to thank all my family members who have served in the military and make a barbecue in honor of all those soldiers.
